Optiwave offers introductory courses for all products. Trainers, who are also expert Optiwave engineers, focus on your goals and how you can best utilize Optiwave tools to achieve them. Our two day short courses allow for a ‘hands on’ approach on learning how to use Optiwave tools to their best capabilities.
OCS01: OptiSYSTEM Fundamentals and Design Techniques
OptiSYSTEM Fundamentals and Design Techniques is a two-day course that provides a working introduction to the OptiSYSTEM technical computing environment. This course is intended for beginning and intermediate users, though even experienced users will benefit from seeing OptiSYSTEM used by professional OPTIWAVE trainers. No prior knowledge of Optiwave software is required. Themes of data analysis, visualization, modeling, and programming are explored throughout the course. Topics include:
- The OptiSystem user interface
- Working with OptiSystem components
- Design and visualization
- Basic data analysis
- Amplifier Design using OptiSystem
- Data input and output
- Integration with MATLAB
Hands-on examples and exercises apply basic techniques to realistic problems in a variety of application areas.
OCT01: OptiFDTD Fundamentals and Design Techniques
OptiFDTD Fundamentals and Design Techniques is a two-day course that provides a working introduction to the OptiFDTD technical computing environment. This course is intended for beginning and intermediate users, though even experienced users will benefit from seeing OPTISYSTEM used by professional OPTIWAVE trainers. No prior knowledge of Optiwave software is required. Themes of data analysis, visualization, modeling, and programming are explored throughout the course. Topics include:
- Overview of the Finite-Difference Time-Domain Method
