Since its inception, Optiwave has established relationships with a wide range of complementary leading technology organizations, in order to enable a broader base of customers to benefit from the power and flexibility of Optiwave’s unparalleled suite of photonic design automation software.
Optiwave & The MathWorks
Optiwave is a member of The MathWorks partner program, “MATLAB Connections”.
The MATLAB Connections Program focuses on third-party organizations that develop and distribute complimentary, commercially available products and services based on the MATLAB technical computing environment. Connections partners help MATLAB users by providing industry or application specific technology to fill their need for a complete solution. Optiwave’s unique optical design tools OptiAmplifier and OptiSystem are seamlessly integrated with MathWorks products and ensure ongoing compatibility in conjunction with new MATLAB releases.
The Mathworks is the leading developer and supplier of technical computing software in the world. The company was founded in 1984, employs over 1,000 people and is headquartered in Natick, Massachusetts, with offices and representatives throughout the world. The Mathworks customers are 500,000 of the world's leading technical people, in over 100 countries, on all seven continents. These technical people work at the world's most innovative technology companies, government research labs, financial institutions, and at more than 3,500 universities.
Optiwave & Design Workshop Technologies
Optiwave has a technology development relationship with Design Workshop Technologies.
The two companies cooperated on the development of a technology integrating Optiwave’s waveguide modeling software, OptiBPM, with Design Workshop’s dw-2000 physical layout and verification software. Optiwave markets and distributes the technology jointly developed by the two companies, along with the OptiBPM and dw-2000 software packages. The integration between OptiBPM and dw 2000 offers users a complete solution for the design and manufacture of integrated photonic devices and allows for a smooth transition between design of photonic devices and the creation of masks used in the manufacturing process.
Design Workshop Technologies is a privately held software development company, founded in 1988, with headquarters in Montreal, Canada. Design Workshop Technologies has established itself as an important developer of computer assisted design software by creating and marketing innovative new products for the electronic design automation (EDA) and for the photonic design automation (PDA) markets, specifically in the area of physical layout and verification. Its software is used by engineers all over the world for creating new applications based on microfabrication technologies.
